Dymondia margaretae
I'm in the process of establishing a 20' x 20' rock garden (tea garden). I've collected many black rocks from the shores of the Pacific (most are oval in shape; approximately 4" to 6" in length and 1" to 2" thick). I plan on placing the rocks together as tightly as possible and planting 2" square plugs of dymondia margaretae to fill the gaps. Does anyone have a suggestion regarding preparation of the soil? Current soil is a mixture of dirt (90%) and gravel (10%). Much appreciated. JRSWSRJ
