Default Desert Plants for Bonsai

The Phoenix Bonsai Society (est. 1962) has a long history of empirical experience with low-water and desert plants as bonsai. This past summer, a committee reviewed our hardiness categories and the revised results can be found here: Hardy, Easy to Grow Plants for Bonsai in Phoenix
