Default Yes, Hechtia for sure and a beautifu l plant.

Hi.
If I had saw just the plant with no flowers or leftovers of flowers I would get fooled and get in doubt about being a Dyckia. But observing the flowers you positively state this is no Dyckia as Dyckias do not die of blooming. Here you can see the plant last effort was in order to bloom as it is monocarpic. It is a wonderful plant and a extremely beautiful one. Maybe a H. rosea hybrid, just maybe. Have you seen Dyckias around in Jacarta or anywhere in Indonesia?
Congratulatons! You have a very beautiful Mexican or Mezo American plant or even a beatiful manmade hybrid Hechtia.
