Biggest cacti plant in NorCal,Cereus repandus
San Leandro Ca. I'm guessing in the 35-40' height range. I know this area very well from friends and family who lived or lived their. It has the richest soils you could dream of-black loaming clay with flecks of fine sands. Banana's-Brugmansia's-palms,NEVER look chlorotic. And as they taught in Horticulture class, the size of the trees tells you how deep that rich soil goes. I actually planted a banana pup for a friend by digging-with my hand..wow.

Not only is it huge, it's still attractive. I've seen plenty of 25'+ C. whateverthehecktheyare monsters around here that have seen better days...

There's one near Stevenson and Mission Blvd, in Fremont. Maybe as tall, but half as stout.
