Allen,
dimensional data would be helpful. diameter?

It looks like one of the crossed cultivars that we (and perhaps others) developed in 2007-2008. We call the clade E. 'Pocahontus'.

It was distributed by C&J and Altmans to box stores. There are many flavors as It was crossed out to many cultivars. These are large growers (up to 24" across).

If it's along the size 7"-10", it is an old-time cultivar.

I am familiar with the smaller clone, but don't recall the name at the moment.

I have quite a few that look similar to that, but none are the same. A few of them I got came labeled as E. cante/subrigida x E. runyonii, and I can see these two plants if I put my mind to it... One of the plants I have bloomed so profusely that it almost died. It must have had about 20 flower stalks and was a sight to see. Dr. Butterfield is an old cross that ma be of this parentage, as well as the Dick Wright hybrid 'Domingo', but I think this cross has been done many times, by many breeders as mentioned.

Thanks guys,

The diameter of the plants is about 14" and still growing.. also I have the smaller clone it grow only to 7" for me. Now It solved the puzzle---why one stays small and the other grow huge. I attached photo of the smaller clone.

Here is an F1. Might look familiar to you.

Seed I shared with C&J of which I got half the resulting seedlings back. They sold what they referred to as 'Mongrels'..... before they developed.

These developed from non-descript ugly ducklings to..Here is but one example of what came. These are difficult to image properly. But this is not the most beautiful of the results we got. These came from pairing from pairing with other taxa. Its just that it is closer to the ones you posted.
