I picked this bulb up at UC Irvine probably about 2004 or 2005. Plunked in the ground on a North-facing hillside, which has grown too shady. Still ... it put out its first bloom in September, 2009. Apparently self-sterile, I was unable to get any seed to set. Will look to trade pollen when it (hopefully) blooms again next fall.

Thanks for the inspiration! Hopefully in the next year or so I will have mine in flower. I have four large bulbs from two different clones.

Let us know how these bulbs survive your tough winter, once spring comes. If any survive and make offsets, I'd be interested in some trading (we have lots and lots of Clivia plants)
