Default Hello from San Diego

Hello everyone.
This is a great site.. maybe I should call in sick tomorrow and spend more time here.
Seems like a lot of cool people hang out here too.
I have joined the Brom forum...but I suspect I will join others soon.
I have collected agaves , aloes and broms off and on for the past 20 years.
Most of my agaves and aloes got too big for my small space and found other homes.
I usually lose my plant tags.. so.. I got plenty of green, silver, and red plants...
My Hechtia collection is out of control.
I can always make room for a new thorny one.

Wes

Hey Wuzz!

Welcome to Xeric World. I am glad to see some action in the Bromeliad Forum. I look forward to learning more about this wonderful family of plants.

Cheers, Allen

Hi Wuzz:

Welcome to the forum.

I am nuts about dyckias/gravatas

I also keep some hectias and other broms, I might need your help in identifying some of my hectias.

Hi Wuzz:

Thank you for indicating this forum to me.
Tags? They were made to be lost!
Magically there seems to be a thing with tags besides being runaways:
They bury themselves, they fade, the vanish, they break, they are stollen, they are changed. They must have a mind of their own, donīt you think so?

But they are important for man is used to tag everything. Without taggins we are lost. We enjoy drawers, everything must have a tag, those without tags are inside dawers, hidden. Humanity canīt survive without tags so my dear TAG!

Sooner or later we just find our brain and minds are not so powerful and we desperatly need tags.

Use crayon or pencil as the letters tend to fade with any other pen. I used pen from everywhere but the Moon and Mars. All fade away! Than tagging turns into a maddness. Do not reinvent the wheel : use crayon instead of pencil. Refuse any pen even those from Jupiter and also those used in the Space lab.

Here we have a native bird that loves to pick up tags to build nest or just drop then anywhere even on the roof. No, not so simple: neigbourīs house roof.
Tags are a headache everywhere it is not thing we all do not came to known pretty well. Thaks almighty lord you do have to dismantle a Sabiá (wagtail bird) nest or ask the neighbour to please search its rain water pipes looking for that unthinkable get lost tag.
