I remember spending a good part of the holidays last year installing software, configuring settings, adding graphics, and building the community. I officially launched this place a year ago today, and am quite ecstatic looking back, at what it has become in this short amount of time. I can't believe all the great people who have showed up to share their knowledge and ideas here.

We now have 225 members, so that is about four new members a week on average... but it is starting to snowball...

Well, it looks like we finally might get some good rain down here in SoCal. I have been running the tractor all day trying to make sure the runoff from my recent dirt moving projects goes in the right direction and doesn't erode any of my terraces on the property... I have been eyeballing everything, so hopefully my slants are in the right direction. I know the plants around here are really looking forward to flushing out all those mineral deposits that have been building up for the last year or...

Well, the classified ads have pretty much gotten zero attention, so I thought I would move the thumbnails to the top of the index page so people notice them a bit easier. I hope that sooner or later, people discover this section and we start getting some buying, trading, giving away, or trading. If anyone thinks I need to add certain categories, just let me know. I think right now, there is just WTS (want to sell) and WTB (want to buy).... I know there are quite a few people on here who buy and...

I just configured the blog to show up in the new post section so people are aware it exists.. and it added all the old posts....

Well, Xeric World has been live for 11 months now... membership has been increasing at a good rate. We have now finally surpassed 200 members and the word is spreading about the "Cool new Community"

I started selling a few plants on ebay and yesterday had the idea to put a link to XericWorld in my add... I think we got about 10 new members in the last two days!..

People are slowly discovering the forum features, though this Blog section has gone pretty much...
