    I was recently backpacking in the Northern Sonoran desert and came across this Dudleya saxosa, or at least that's what i think it was. It was very different from the other dudleyas in the colony. Is this a variation on a theme or a different species. I didn't collect one since there were only 2. I wonder if this pale yellow striped flower is of horticultural interest. See gallery for image.
