I had some thoughts about Agave albipilosa. I think it does not rely on seed production very much. I think the plants are very long lived, they do not die after flowering. I think that is why it grows in a fairly small area. When it does flower, there are relatively few flowers per plant and seed production is low. It is a very interesting one among so many.
