Default lichens

California Lichen Society

Society in need of support and, dare I say, some other younger members.

I'm Lichen' it!...... Looks like they haven't put out a bulletin since 2005... .

I thought the succulent world was small..... My hat's off to anyone who has the drive to organize such a small group of people.....

I understand thata specific species of Lichen is the key range limiting fodder of the very rare and endangered Cephalopod Octopus parabolis, so studying and conserving lichens can impact the lives of many creatures that rely on these under appreciated life forms.

Default Arboreal cephalopods

Arboreal cephalopods, large-brained and yet under-appreciated even in their native forests. Such charismatic but little-seen creatures are surely deserving of our support. They are like nothing else on Earth.

I will only add that were I a member in good standing of the California Lichen Society, I might well be tempted to omit that little ditty from my both my resume and any future personal ads I might be tempted to place. Carry on.

If your feeling extra enthusiastic, this is the national, and less needy, society.
