The San diego Botanic Garden (formarly, Quail), was lucky enough to acquire 4 new Idria columnaris' from The SD Wild Animal Park yesterday- where I must say I have never seen that plant so fully leafed out. I had to watch where I stepped when off the path because there was regeneration among the 2-300 boojums, hey, they lost count- it's good to be rich. With an extremely close recent fire that would've destroyed the garden the thinking is some of the plants ought to be spread about in case the worse occurs. Let's continue to hope for the best...

Awesome!....

I hope they do as well in the coastal environment. Did you put them in the new MILF garden?

One of my favorite scene's is dropping down the hill in Baja just before turning left off to Bahia de los Angeles and seeing all those giant 'Rats Tails' sticking out of the ground.....

HaHa, yes the MILF garden, we're so transparent! Have you, or anyone else, ever seen and/or photographed the colony in Sonora?
