This is a Dyckia species we all here get open mouthed by the very first sight of it (
by the second,third ...)
The name is not an official one and here it is a suggestion as the species is not already taxonomic described.
This species was only found cause a huge dam contruction company hired botanists and zoololists to collect, identify and save plants and animals from the flooded area. The plant was unreachable before fllooding as it was 400 meters up on a perpendicular granitic cliff with a mighty river flowing right below.
It would take a very well trained, skilled and audacious alpinist to try to get to the plant. Once the area was flooded the plant got reachable just strechting an arm while in a canoe.
The plant is absolutely rare and I am expecting for the bloom soon.
Flowers are known to be numerous, small and the seeds are minute to tiny.
The plant is something to drool buckets over it....
This is a very compact Plant has it is a multi leafed one.
This is peculiar to Southern Dyckia plants.
There are a sole green form an a tottaly silvered one.
Seeds here will produce these three forms for sure
