Dyckia fosteriana is an old known Dyckia species native to Paraná State here in South Brazil.
Just recently we came to realize
Dyckia fosteriana is not just one single species but several varieties and several relative species (affinis).
This turns a
Dyckia fosteriana into a
Dyckia fosteriana Complex.
This is the smallest Dyckia fosteriana variety and also one of the prettiest.
That old lady would give a front tooth,
if she had one .... to have one plant just like this on her sunny windowsill.
It fits comfortably and roomy inside one hand of yours.
It was found on a rocky outcrop amid a fig plantation just in the
outskirts of Lapa in Paraná. Lapa is a charming small historical Brazilian town.
This species is extremely rare and just one population is known up today.
As this samall and single population is in particular and well cared lands so the plant will survive. The land owner is a green minded well known here old lady.
The plant is under description and most probably will get as name:
Dyckia fosteriana nivosa (snowed) or
Dyckia fosteriana lapeana ( from Lapa)
Behave, Be blessed and Be Happy.

Hugs from a fantastic sunny and balmy Brazilian Spring day.
Dyckias clap their leaves in sheer happiness in a most
supercalifragilistic day.
Sure enough like in the song:
If I hat to wish you a day I would wish you a day just like today...Cheers
