See,thats the can of worms-because some plain green will get reddish young and stressed. Mine,is always red even well watered in winter. Also,some say its a form of B.guatamalensis,others have told me though ,true B.guatamalensis have smooth leaves,not toothed like B.recurvata-and my red has that pampas grass sharp like feel. Also I have a 10' plant in ground under the same Hayward sun and it has never shown any red at young,old,or small or big.
So far,its take your pick. |
