To Acidify or Not to Acidify your Water

There is quite a debate over whether to acidify one's water when watering cacti and succulents. A recent resurrection of Buxbaum's theory of needing to acidify the soil and water has been published stating that it is critical to the proper uptake of vital nutrients. I would like to share the following diagram showing the rates of uptake relative to pH and let everyone whom is contemplating this dilema make decisions for themselves.
